Any and all New Jersey SNAP-authorized Farmers, Farmers Markets, Farm Stands, Mobile Produce Markets, or CSA programs are invited to apply for City Green’s Good Food Bucks program! By participating in Good Food Bucks, you will be joining a network of over 35 NJ farm and market partners who are working to make healthy, farm-fresh food more affordable for NJ residents who use SNAP.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis between 11/15/23 and 4/15/24 for markets operating during the 2024 calendar year.
Who is Eligible to apply?
- Any SNAP-authorized farmer, farmers market, farm stand, mobile produce market, or CSA program based in New Jersey.
- Farms and markets currently in the process of becoming SNAP-authorized are also eligible to submit an application. For information on SNAP-authorization, check out our How to Become a SNAP-Authorized Farm or Market in NJ Toolkit
- Brick and mortar grocery stores should contact goodfoodbucks@city-green.org for information on how to enroll in the Good Food Bucks program. We will have a more formal application process for brick and mortar sites sometime in the coming weeks!
By joining the Good Food Bucks program, partners will receive:
- Funding for the Good Food Bucks SNAP nutrition incentive program, up to $10,000 throughout 2024 for all farm-direct partners
- Outreach and marketing funding and support
- Access to networking opportunities
- Food access trainings, webinars, and monthly newsletters
- SNAP and WIC/FMNP technical assistance
- Assistance in obtaining SNAP/EBT card-reader equipment

It is estimated that the application will take approximately 1 hour to complete for new partners, but only a few minutes for returning partners.
