In response to an avalanche of negative comments, the USDA re-opened the comment period on a rule change that would cut food stamps for 3 million Americans and deprive 1 million children of school meals.

If you haven’t commented, please do so now. Comments will close soon. We need to defeat this attempt to take food assistance away from people who need it most.

This is one of the Trump Administration’s three attempts to weaken this first line of defense against hunger in America. But we may have a chance. With more than 130,000 comments, mostly against this plan, the administration re-opened the comment period on Oct. 18. It’s only open for two weeks. So please comment today. We can win this one!
