New Jersey Listening Session with Senator Cory Booker

Earlier this month, Lisa Pitz, the director of Hunger Free New Jersey, sat down with experts from across the Garden State to discuss hunger and food insecurity in New Jersey and work together to find new solutions. This event is one of the many listening sessions that will be happening across the nation in advance of the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Heath in September.

The White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health, the first of it’s kind in 50 years. The 1969 conference was a transformative event, leading to sweeping changes in America’s food policy and leading to huge hunger and malnutrition reductions across the country. We now have the opportunity to lead change and address hunger and food insecurity in our generation.
